Dear Parents/Gaurdians,
Studies indicate that dress attire has been a significant factor in improved academic achievement and student behavior. We believe that adoption of mandatory dress attire has promoted school safety, improved discipline and enhanced the learning environment.
The following Dress Attire will remain in effect for the 2003-2004 school year at Bassette. Students will be required to follow the dress attire guidelines Monday though Friday. There will be NO Spirt Day or jeans worn on Friday.
TOPS
- Navy, white, burgundy, hunter green, red, yellow, or light blue
- Long or short sleeves
- Shirt/blouse with collar, turtleneck, or polo
- No name brand emblems
BOTTOMS
- Khaki, navy blue, or black
- Shorts, slacks, skirts or jumpers
- Skirts and jumpers-knee length only (NO LONG SKIRTS)
- No name brand emblems
BELTS
- Black or brown
- If you have loops you need to wear a belt.
SHOES
- Dress Shoes: Solid black, dark brown, navy blue or white
- Boots: ankle high only (NO knee high boots)
- Tennis Shoes: Solid black or solid white (NO strips and NO invisble emblems)
- 1 inch heel or less
- No name brand emblems
SOCKS
- White, blue, brown, or black
